About Western Axolotl

Hello! Western Axolotl is a small organization based in Reno Nevada, USA. Our founder, Michael Klapp, is a biology teacher at Reed High School and breeds axolotls to teach genetics, evolution, development and ecology to his students. Each year, we have some axolotls avaliable as a result of these lessons and we like to make them avaliable to the axie-loving community.​

 

Mike has been breeding axies in the classroom for over fifteen years now and is a father, wrestling coach, and avid birder/herper. ​​
